I wish I could have got to see Asheville when I was there! But Hendersonville and surrounding area took my breath away as it was, I really hope I get to go back and take in more of such a beautiful place. Loved the photos!
Part of the problem is that the very nature of of internet media predisposes people to groupthink simply due to the algorithms that 'direct' their attention, and in most cases without their knowledge of having been so 'directed'..
Aside from whatever 'hierarchical' sources of societal divisiveness there may be, much of it is driven by people who genuinely believe their own ideologies are the 'majority' (& The Truth), because they are unaware that their own computers/devices are feeding them confirmation bias 'disguised' as 'News of the world view' (so to speak)..
How to get 'the view' outside of one's filter bubbles should be taught at the elementary school level...with remedial education ongoing right through retirement age!
